Charlotte Farmer

Dr. Charlotte M. Farmer is Chair of SAFE Standard AI and former Chief Operating Officer of UL Research Institutes. A global executive and board leader, she brings deep experience in technology, safety science, cybersecurity, standards, and organizational transformation. Her work spans MITRE, UL, and the World Economic Forum, including contributions to research on AI’s impact on advanced manufacturing. She has facilitated UNGA81 discussions on Sovereign AI and AI Governance. Dr. Farmer champions translating responsible AI principles into practical governance, independent assurance, and board-level accountability—enabling organizations to deploy AI with confidence, protect people, and create sustainable enterprise value.
